Cannington triumphs at awards

There were celebrations all round recently as our Cannington Vice President Operations Rob Jackson was named the Queensland Resources Council’s 2019 Gender Diversity Champion.

In front of a record crowd at the Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) awards in March, Cannington’s Inclusive Culture Working Group was also recognised for its efforts to drive cultural change with the Excellence in Diversity Programs & Performance award.

Reflecting on the awards, Rob said: “We have only started this journey and there is much more work that we need to do together if we are to position our industry for tomorrow's challenges and to continue to be prosperous.”
