Collie River Restoration Project

The banks of the Collie River in the South West of Australia are looking much greener after our Worsley Alumina operation’s annual tree planting day.

Joining forces with the local community, more than 20 employees volunteered their time planting seedlings and native shrubs along the river and in basin areas to help restoration efforts and to improve water quality.

We’ve partnered with the Shire of Collie and provided funding over three years for the Collie River Restoration Project. 

The project aims to improve the health of the river and ensure its long-term sustainability.

New pathways, trails and cycle paths along the river have also been built as part of the project.
