Our South32 Experience

Our global workforce of employees and contractors is our most important resource, providing the skills, experience and technical expertise required to run our business and fulfil our purpose.

In FY24, we finalised and deployed our new global employee value proposition (EVP), which we call the ‘South32 Experience’. The South32 Experience defines the employee experience that we are aiming to achieve at our operations and corporate offices and was developed using research and information from a wide range of sources, including workshops with employees from across our business, data from our annual ‘Your Voice’ employee surveys and exit interview insights from past employees.

Under our new employer brand positioning of ‘Discover a Brighter Future’, the South32 Experience outlines the commitments we make to our people, including our aim to create a workplace where people feel they belong and are valued, the development opportunities available so that they can reach their full potential, and what we ask and expect of our employees in return.

The South32 Experience EVP will help us shape an employee experience that assists with attracting, developing and retaining talented people who have a shared belief in our purpose and values. Our Human Resources and External Affairs teams across our business are working to embed our South32 Experience in customised ways across all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and onboarding.
