South32 launches new Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan

30 JULY 2024

We continue to challenge ourselves with our second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which has more ambitious goals and targets than previous RAPs.

Our new Innovate RAP aspires to have a significant impact in a wide range of areas, and we will continue to collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to preserve cultural heritage and advance opportunities for economic participation and social inclusion.

Our purpose includes improving people’s lives now and for generations to come, and through our Innovate RAP we seek to deliver on this commitment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

The commitments we’ve made in our Innovate RAP were informed by Our Approach to Indigenous, Traditional and Tribal Peoples Engagement, an external and internal review of progress on our first Innovate RAP, and engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and stakeholders.

Reconciliation is important to us, and we know that we can contribute to reconciliation in the local communities where we operate, which in turn can contribute to reconciliation across Australia.
